“Sep 2025 Although we have done this tour with Marinakitours in the past, and it was exceptional, we actually reached out for them to assist us with a tour connection in Corfu and Olympia Greece. Both locations provided private 6 hour tours with so many beautiful places and personal touches. They took us to places and met people that could not have happened with a large group. They are very responsive to emails, questions, timely, friendly and want to make sure you are very happy doing what you want to do and see. I highly recommend using them for the locations they have listed and don't be afraid to reach out to them directly for other locations. We were not disappointed. Thank you Marinakitours!”

“We loved the tour with Nick! He really took us around all the popular spots in the island, explained a lot about local activities and helped us with some amazing photos. We are all incredibly pleased with his energy and knowledge of how to navigate through the busy areas so we could do everything efficiently without rushing. We could take our time where we liked to browse shops and get refreshments. He coordinated with our hotel so he would be handed off smoothly. He gave us great recommendations for places to eat and his favorite places to go. Certainly a great person to connect with and feel like you have your cousin showing you the city. We will certainly be using the service while we are in town to go to other places. Thank you from your Brazilian family!”

“Jun 2024 Nikolas Marinakis was amazing 👏. He went above and beyond the call of duty. Friendly, personable and spoke good English. He took us to Oia, fantastic view of Santorini. We went to a great little coffee bar and had pizza, snack, mojitos, coffee and ice cream. He then took us yo a blacksand beach where my kids and I swam and frolicked in the water. My youngest had a blast in the sand building a volcano. I highly recommend him. Mari , who was also very nice and helpful, gave us a reasonable price for the tour for a party of 8. Greece 🇬🇷 was gorgeous.”

Not only were they kind but they are actually locals that live in this island and know where to go, where to eat, know the history and their customer service was incomparable. We loved every minute of our tour. Electra spoke perfect English and is very cultured and fun. The driver had a very comfortable van and was a great driver. “Our 6 hour private tour All of Santorini was beyond wonderful. Niko was waiting with a sign as we exited the cable car to Oia. He took us to a charming area to shop in small stores and insisted we have a mid morning snack of the best baklava! Then we toured more of gorgeous Santorini, and niko stopped for us to all have lunch at a delicious Greek taverna right next to the beach. We continued on to more of beautiful Santorini, then the ultimate wine tasting at a great winery which not only had delicious wines and charcuterie, but the most stunning views up high above the bluest water. Niko was exceptionally friendly, knowledgeable, and funny. He absolutely made our day in Santorini most enjoyable and memorable! Thank you Niko!”
“Oct 2023 Nick and Nicola were very accommodating to our schedule, which was really tight! We unfortunately docked when all other cruise ships were docking, so we had to wait a little longer to get up to the tram. However, Nick did give us a heads up that this was going to be the case, so we were at least mentally prepared for it. This was a huge plus, rather than getting there and being frustrated of this fact. Secondly, we have someone that was somewhat challenged in their mobility, and Nick happily accommodated and catered to us. Overall, really good and personalized experience. Was very flexible on what we, as a group, wanted and can do. No pushy agenda or anything. Highly recommend! Read more”
“Amazing! Nick greeted us with a warm smile, and was friendly and knowledgeable. He has over 36 years experience of living in Santorini so he knew all the history and best kept secrets of the island. We didn’t feel comfortable driving the island so the money to tour the entire island with Nick was well worth it. We got some some interesting historical facts, and beautiful pictures. He was patient, warm, and kind. If you have limited time and want to see the best spots on the island, his personal tour is a lifesaver!”

“Jul 2023 I can't say enough about this tour. It was absolutely lovely. Nikos made sure he took care of everything, took his time and never rushed us. We saw as much as we could fit in. If we wanted to stay longer he willingly did. He changed it up a bit to accommodate the extreme 40+ weather with a dip in the Black Sea half way through the day. He made sure each and everyone of us. (party of 11 family) were comfortable and happy. He became part of the family. Highly, highly recommend. We loved it!!!”

“Jul 2023 We had an amazing tour of Santorini with Nick who is the best by far he gave us a full history of Santorini took us every where we wanted to go and other places we did not know. We tasted fabulous food and did shopping when we toured the blue domes what an amazing view Actually every view is amazing we went to red beach and black sand beach and had an amazing meal at Apollon everything was amazing you must book with them you will not go wrong I can go on and on and on but all and all an absolute fabulous time. “Jul 2023 Getting to santorini was a stressful experience from the cruise ship, all off our stress was was relieved from Nik our tour guide. He was extremely kind and gracious. He made me feel like my Greek uncle was giving me a tour of the island. Took us to great spots for pictures and gave us a lot of neat facts about santorini. I would not have enjoyed santorini without nik. He knew the exact spots to take us in the short time we had because of mistakes our cruise line made. Will return to santorini, and definitely use Nik again!”
“Amazing Santorini - our tour company was Marinakis Tours - we were a big group and were split in 3 huge buses. Took us all over Santorini the beaches, the mountain top, the red rocks and the shopping. Great service for the price we paid and we also go wine on the bus. Great experience with Nikos and Marinakis Tours. The guides spoke perfect English and were so easy to understand. No one was lost or missing - all 185 accounted for. I would highly recommend using this tour company to get your money's worth and more.”
“We were on a a cruise and did an Excursion at Santorini with Marinakis Tours. We were a large group of friends, we had 3 buses and we Nikos the owner did not have to but he accompanied our group. Yes it was a hot day and lots to walk, but people who wanted to enjoy did have a great time and appreciated the excursion. I would recommend Nikos and Marinakis Tours to anyone if you want to have an excursion for a small group or a large group. Wine and flowers was a nice touch from Nikos. Diana and Maxie - June 2023”
“If I had to describe the tour in one word, I would say EXCELLENT. Well organized, knowledgeable guide and well planned. This was my first trip to Santorini and definitely not my last - the guide and the tour contributed to my good impression of the island. “Jun 2023 It was our first trip to Greece and we were looking forward to our tour in Santorini. It was one of the worst experiences we have had. First of all our guide, Felicia came late and we were all waiting in the heat with no where to sit for more than an hour. She was lazy and did not give any much information about the island, its economy, the main products etc. The tour was to begin at Fira, then visit Firostefani, imerovigli etc. She skipped all of this and took us straight to Prophet Elias Monastery. There she only gave us 10 mins so we were not able to go to the top when every other tough bus was stopped there for longer and people climbed right to the top. When asked why she skipped places that were mentioned on the tour description, first she ignored us then finally said no time. All in all, I would never recommend your company to anyone and I hope anyone reading this would beware of using your services. “Jun 2023 We highly recommend this tour, a perfect overview for our family’s first visit to Santorini. Nik is such a kind and friendly gentleman who made us feel comfortable immediately. When our arrival was delayed by a halt in tendering from our cruise ship, he waited patiently for us and led us to the highlights of this beautiful island in his comfortable and large van. He is very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions while keeping us on schedule to return to the ship. He helped take several photos of our family in stunning locations. He knew how to avoid the traffic that is common with so many tourists and tour busses on the island. Oia was a beautiful stop for sightseeing, cave houses, special churches, shopping, and gelato. Nik fave is coke bottled water that was much appreciated. Ending the tour at the black sand beach was lovely and we hope to come back. Thank you, Nik, for your hospitality. “May 2023 Nick was absolutely amazing! We were a group of 14 and were celebrating my daughter's birthday. Nick surprised her with flowers and a bottle of champagne where we toasted her. What a great way to start off our tour. Nick took us to all the great sights and he was so knowledgeable about Santorini. We ended the day at a great beach side restaurant where we had the most amazing food. Definitely ask for Nick when you do this tour!”

“Amazing experience! This was the best purchase I made in Santorini. Nick picked us up at the top of the cable cars and we began our venture to Santorini. We did practically the whole island in the four hours (it would’ve taken us 4 hours to walk to Oia to see the white houses and blue-domed churches). Nick is a local and had all the know-how of navigating the streets as well as an abundance of history knowledge. He took great quality pictures of our group and was so kind! He accommodated all of our needs, including my 80 year old grandmother with limited mobility. This was the best way to see Santorini with the time we had. We still had plenty of time to walk the streets to do some shopping and stopped at a cafe for amazing baklava. Nick knows practically everyone and we were very well treated at every stop. “Jun 2022 This was an incredible private tour! My husband and I and our 2 teenagers were in Santorini port for one day with our cruise ship. The perfect way to see the whole island in a day! Our guide was absolutely lovely, friendly, knowledgeable and professional! Our driver was awesome too! We saw the whole island with stops for pictures along the way! The highlight was a stop at the winery at the top of the island! Stunning views, yummy wine (Wish we had more time to spend there)! We would highly recommend this tour!!! EXCEPTIONAL!”

“Sep 2019 I have nothing but good things to say about my experience with Marinakis Tours and our incredible guide, Nikolaos! We had the absolute BEST time exploring Santorini with him and I can’t recommend them enough! We were visiting for just one day, but enjoyed a WONDERFUL tour in his clean, comfortable car. I believe we initially had the 4 hr tour booked, but he was able to extend it on the spot because our plans allowed us to stay longer. We started off with espressos at a beautiful vineyard and proceeded to see many picturesque high points of the city. We had the most incredible lunch on the water (where our meal swam that very morning) and the best balaclava I could ever dream of! I would absolutely love to come back. As a tour guide, Nikolaos was so knowledgeable, accommodating, and passionate about his home. It felt like we were family by the end! Him and his team even went above and beyond when I realized (later) that I had left my iPhone in the back of his car! They were so friendly and helpful in finding it and shipping it to my home in California. I was shocked at how fast it got there! It arrived the same day I arrived back from my cruise and was wrapped with so much love and care (so as to protect it during travel), that I was blown away. Helen and our driver (please forgive me because I cannot at the moment remember your name and thank you for the CD’s) catered to whatever we wanted to see. “Marinakis tours organised for us a 6 hour tour and a boat volcamp tour.He did nothing everything was very well organized by them.We were a group of 15 people and we had the concern that we wouldn't be comfortable with one car but Mr Nick had thought this too.He had for us a big (freets 20 people for sure)Mercedes bus very clean and very comfortable with good air conditioning and a small helping step for the people that were older,(a very positive surprise because my grandparents were with us and this tour was very comfortable for them too).Our itinerary was ideal we wandered in every hidden corner of Santorini,Mr Nick as a local knee very well were to get us in order to have more view and less crowd,he is like an open encyclopaedia as far as history of the island is concerned.The next day we had a volcano tour,in the best price that we could find with lot's of informations and clarifications,we knew exactly what to wait.Of course we enjoyed every single moment in Santorini and marinakis tours is the reason.Mr Nick thank you very much you are the real Greek hospitality see you again soon. “We are an older couple who wanted to get a sense of the island and it’s people in a private tour. Helen and George the driver, greeted us on time and proceeded to take us to Oia, our first destination. Since this town is very crowded, Helen’s well planned program to take us there first thing in the morning was perfect, avoiding all the crowds and the hot summer sun. Helen was a delightful companion and knew how to adjust the tour for our wants and needs. Although she had a programmed tour planned, she adjusted it to accommodate our needs and preferences -beach swimming, wine tasting, view of the island from the highest point and less walking. She was extremely knowledgeable about Ancient Greece and genuinely shared her thoughts about life in Greece today. We felt we spent a day with a close friend, not a guide. “Jul 2019 We had a perfect day in Santorini and all the credits go to Marinakis tours and the owner Nick. With perfect agenda and very reasonable price we had the best day ever. We arrived by tender boats to the old port, took the cable car up and Nick was waiting for us. We had many stops to take photos. Thira, Imerovigli, Oia, Profitis Elias, Akrotiri, Red beach and other places. We visited many countries but never met a helpful, respected, and knowledgeable person as Mr Nick. He was all the time smiling and respectful. He helped us to see the most important places on the island in few hours, before heading back again to the cable car to catch the tender boats and back to the ship. “Jul 2019 We had a 6hour tour with Mr Nick,at first we were thinking that it would be hard with our two kids (5 and 7 years old) to wander around Santorini but Mr Nick found the way for us.We explored every hidden beauty of the island,we had lunch we tasted local wines with the best view and Mr Nick was always very friendly with the kinds without complaining.At the end of our tour the big surprise came,he got us souvenirs and gifts and he said that it was in order to remember him.what can I say Nick we will never forget you. “Santorini is gorgeous. But it can also be hectic, confusing and difficult to get around. Using Nick was the best money we spent. We were a group of 10 women living in France, and I'm convinced he saved us HOURS and a lot of frustration. More than just saving us the headache of "how to get there and where to park", he went above and beyond by giving us several outstanding restaurant recommendations for authentic, delicious local food (I'm looking at you, Naoussa Restaurant...) and even the details on a "secret" spot on the outskirts of Fira to watch the sunset. It was us and the greek family bbq'ing on their patio... it felt like authentic Santorini rather than jockeying for a spot with hundreds of other tourists. Finally, Nick speaks great English as well. “Apr 2019 Traveling around Santorini with Mr Niko was a truly warm, lovely experience. We were in Santorini from April 16 to 18, traveling with six kids (and with six adults, a total of twelve in our party), so we wanted an option that required little from us in terms of extra logistical hurdles and planning (we had a lot to do on our end already!). So, from the time our plane(s) landed in the airport, Mr Niko (not just the operator but also the owner of this outfit) was there to pick us up. First few stops were a dazzling view of Santorini at one of its highest points, to orient us as to where everything was. Its narrow streets became busy with other large tourist buses and vehicles, but Mr Niko expertly avoided the rush of the crowd and then took us to Pyrgos for a really great, authentic feel of how real residents actually live on the island. We were there in time to see a group of locals sprucing up their Greek Orthodox Church in preparation for upcoming Easter festivities, and with warm invitations of "peraste! Peraste" (Come in, come in!) we knew we were getting a taste of not just postcard perfect Santorini but its actual heart and soul. We weren't at Santorini for a long time - only around a day and a half - but our trips included the Red Beach, time spent at the Akrotiri excavations, and an afternoon in Oia. We had to change hotel accommodations so Mr Niko adapted our itinerary accordingly. The next day, Mr Niko was there to bring us to one of the ports of Fira for a short boat ride and hike up the volcanic rim of Nea Kameni. We surprised Mr Niko with a request for an hour long horseback riding session in the early afternoon - for which he hooked us up (of course). Then another late afternoon and evening romp around Oia for a view of its magnificent sunset. We didn't get back to our hotel accommodations till late that evening, but at 4:30am the next day Mr Niko was there again, to pick us up and bring us to the airport. What's the point of this long review? Mr Niko was prompt, kind, warm, accessible; adapted to our large group's changing needs. Knowledgeable about local customs (and which roads only went one way, and which times other buses were likely to ply the narrow streets of Santorini) - so we avoided traffic and we really felt like we had the island to ourselves (although obviously we didn't). Suggestions for breakfast at really cool local places (although be warned: some of the local operators are 'so legit' that you'll need to speak a little Greek to be able to get by - I didn't mind, I actually really enjoy interacting with the locals because we traveled thousands of miles to share a little bit of their lives, after all, not to speak English yet again!). “We had a beautiful tour of the entire island w/ Nikolaos. He picked us up promptly at the airport and gave us a tour of all of the interesting and beautiful parts of the island. Nick provided thoughtful insight to the history of the island throughout the tour which added depth to the visit. Our tour started very early in the morning, which is a must! All of the cruise ships start dropping off people at 8-9 am and all of the scenic viewpoints start filling up with people shortly after. “When I first emailed Marinakis Tours to enquire about their Santorini tours, I knew from Mr Nikos Marinakis' initial and very prompt reply that he was a friendly, kind, sincere and very professional man. Following a few more emails back and forth, I actually felt like a "friendship" had developed and immediately proceeded to book a full day private Santorini tour for our forthcoming overseas trip at a very reasonable price. On the day of our tour, we finally met Nikos when he came to pick us up from our hotel in a very spacious and comfortable Mercedes mini van, for just the 2 of us! Nikos was very accommodating in changing the day's schedule to suit us and fit in with our plans. Everything we asked of him was handled without a fuss and always with a smile on his face. Our 8 hour tour included visits to Pyrgos, Santo Wines Winery, Akrotiri, Imerovigli, Firostefani, Red Beach, Perissa Black Beach and of course Oia, the most beautiful place on the island with unbelievable breathtaking views. Nikos spent the day driving us around the island, fulfilling his tour guide role with a wealth of information and most importantly treating us like real friends. He sealed the day off with little surprise Santorini souvenirs so we could have lasting memories of our day. What a beautiful and thoughtful gesture! At the day's end, we went back to Nikos' office in Fira where we met his lovely assistant Anna who like him, had a heart of gold! She proceeded to help us with booking another Volcano/Sunset Tour and also made many inquiries and investigations into booking tours for us in other parts of Greece that we were going to travel to after leaving Santorini. Nikos also came to my rescue two days later when I missed a bus from Fira and came and picked me up at the drop of a hat and took me back to my hotel. I would highly recommend booking a tour with Marinakis Tours and I only hope one day we will return to Santorini to meet these wonderful people again. “We went on a tour of Santorini in very early April 2018 with Mr Nick from Marinakis Tours They helped us to plan our tour which was before the normal tour season kicked off. It was so good we felt like we were being shown around by a friend not a tour guide. I don't think we missed anything we had wanted to see. Last time we used Marinakis Tours buses for two occasions. The vehicles were clean, seemed new and quite luxurious. The Buses were in time and the drivers were very friendly, helpful and seemed quite experienced.”
