Overview

The unparalleled quality of Santorini's wines, the breathtaking colours of the sunset and the unique morphology of the semilunar cliffside — the famous caldera — come together in one unforgettable afternoon.

Taste the legendary Vinsanto, the rare black Mavrotragano and many other indigenous varieties across three of the island's most respected wineries, with an experienced driver-guide leading the day.

The vines here are grown in pumice and basalt and trained low to the ground in basket-shaped kouloura — there is genuinely nowhere else in the world that produces wine the way Santorini does.

The route

A typical day on this tour.

Customisable on the morning of the tour. We swap stops, add a beach or stretch a tasting based on what your day calls for.

  1. Stop 1 · 1 hour

    Art Space — Exo Gonia

Begin with a tasting of three whites, a red and a sweet red inside Art Space — a unique winery-museum-gallery carved into the pumice rock chambers of an old winery in Exo Gonia. Operating since 1999 as a hospitable retreat for Greek and international artisans who share a passion for creativity.

  2. Stop 2 · 1 hour

    Venetsanos Winery — Megalochori

A stunning cliffside location with views across almost the entire caldera — Fira, Oia, Imerovigli, Skaros rock — and the volcano that shaped them. Taste different qualities of wine paired with Greek cheese, traditional Santorinian fresh tomatoes, olives and local cold cuts.

  3. Stop 3 · 1 hour

    Estate Argyros — Episkopi Gonia

Final stop overlooking the infinite vines of Santorini that bravely survive the harsh Cycladic wind. Experience the unique nest-shaped kouloura vines and taste their delicious juice in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere as the sun begins to set.
